1002FAEX 1 TB not recognized

New asus F1A75-V PRO mobo not seeing new WD 1 TB internal sata
hard drive. Booting from DVD drive to freeDOS. No drive letter for WD.
Asus bios "sees" a 0GB sata object. Do I need to prepare/format the
drive? And how if it has no drive letter? Thanks

If you access Disk Management are you able to see the drive?
