Re: Problem in the Hard Disk 500 GB

The drive should not affect the Bios

Try erasing the drive and reformatting and installing the OS again

You can use Data Life Guard for DOS to erase

Re: Problem in the Hard Disk 500 GB

Had purchased 500G WD Cavier blue two weeks ago to replace old WD hard disk. I was an Engineer for Seagate and Quantum, I found WD hard disk quality is terrible bad compared to other brands. I may have to returned bad sector hard disks for the third time. Previous two hard disks all showing many bad sectors until my Windows XP crashed. The third hard disk also showing bad sectors when I copied old files to it. The full story is posted in my blog for worldwide people to read about WD hard disk quality is terrible bad. http://www.nkkhoo.com/2012/06/27/harddisk-price-is-almost-back-to-normal/ Besides, server error in the WD customer support form. I will say NO to WD products again unless Seagate and Toshiba close shop.

Re: Problem in the Hard Disk 500 GB

Hi WDsucker hmm an  Engineer for Seagate and Quantum and still running some old pc with xp on it very good LOL. I often wonder on these flame posts why the person thinks anyone would listen to there recommendation anyway surely someone running a old pc with xp does not know much nor should they recommend anything to anyone as you don't know yourself. Maybe you dropped the drive on the ground and are mad at yourself oh well lots of luck. I know I should not bother responding to this type of post but I cant help myself LOL.
