power management for WD green with adaptec hw raid

does anyone own an adaptec controller  while using the WD green drives?

i am currently unable to get the drives to go into powerdown mode after the time set in ASM.
(using a leftover hitachi drive PM worked perfectly)

case has been reviewed by adaptec but they could not reproduce the problem,

therefore i was hoping to find some folks who can confirm either sides.

im using the nov 09 firmware/drivers and i tested this on a zotac F board with win 7/linux and some WD20EADS-00S

 

ps: without the controller, powerdown works fine with win7 PM
