My Book Studio Edition doesn't turn on

My Book Studio Edition, after 7 months without use suddenly doesn't turn on. I return from my trip and when link it to the electricity and to my computer Mac, it doesn't turn on neither the usual lights turn on. So I don't know if it is a problem of the drive or from the power section of the external drive.

Any suggestions?

Try a different cable either usb or firewire

 

you can also try a different adapter

 

Check if the drive is spinning even if the lights will not come on
