Re: My Passport for Mac, frimware update problem

Very many thanks for your step-by-step advice, and for wduser666's recommendation as to how to fix.  I had just bought My Passport and was extremely worried when it disappeared from view directly following the firmware update - thank goodness there was no data on there, I thought!  I followed your points and I am fully up and running again.  No thanks to WD for their hopelessness but I just wanted to post a note to let you know how grateful I am that some people take the time to make a post which is SOoo useful.  THANKYOU again.

I was told to return my drive AND WD TV + to where I bought them, too. When I told them I bought them online, I was told to restart it/reboot it and call back if that didn't work. And pay for tech support.
