I just got my WD MyBook Essential USB 3.0 2TB external storage.
I have only USB 2.0 on my PC but I guess that should not be a problem.
When I try to format the device I got I/O device error.

Picture about that.
Any solutions for my problem?
Feel free to ask questions at any point.

Hi.
Try using another USB cable to see if the USB cable you currently have is defective.-
