MY book essential (usb 3.0) [ Edited ]

I have problems with Usb 3.0 ETRON. (gigabyte board).. with all drivers. USing latest 1.xxx.0109 version now...

WD Mybook essential won't power up after I shutdown the machine... I loose the disk sometimes on reboot to, but not always....

 (when powered on it works ok)  ...

When it "locks" ...power button (on disk) does not work aether.. (like drive locks completely)  removing power form disk brnig it back to life.... (tries different power adapter, same result)..

Does someone has the solution?

check if you have the same issues with USB 2.0

Try downloading the SES drivers

I tesetd it now, Yes it works on usb 2.0.. but no point of using it.

Ses driver alerady instled.

But Etron EJ168 is USb3.0 cerified controler .. So WD should fix My book controler firmware to comply...!!!!

try updating drivers with the 3.0 controller..

if you have another 3.0 compatible pc test the drive

It seems tha newli released driver (etron 1.000.000.111) fixes the situatiion!
