i bought a My Book Essential Edition 2.0 harddrive but after 4 months .Suddenly one day it's not recognize to my computer .i don't know what to do?i hope somebody will help me

Sorry to hear about this issue.  Please verify that the problem persists on a different computer.  Also, please verify that the drive feels like it is spinning when plugged in and powered on.  If the drive is not getting enough power due to a faulty power supply, you could have this problem.   There could be an issue with the partition on the drive, please check to see if the drive shows up in disk management.  See the link below.

The disc spins and I tried with other PC and I get the lock light comes on but I can not see it in my PC using a file recovery program "GetDataBack for NTFS" I can see the disk but I can not save any files.

and not what else to do

I would advise running our Data Life Guard diagnostics on the drive to ensure that the disk is healthy, please see the link below:

You will likely need to contact a data recovery company to retrieve the data for you, however if the drive fails the diagnostics, it will also need to be replaced.  We do have a list of data recovery partners here:

I could rescue disk with the program but I had to identify as RAW formatted in NTFS and fails to recover the information by incorporating the disk in the box that does not recognize

I get really angry and disappointed to have lost all my information which was of great importance but thanks for the help
