Wrong Hard Drive Replacement!?

Hi there,

I used my WD Elements 2TB drive for about a year when it stopped working.

So I RMA'd the drive 2 weeks ago and today I got the replacement drive delivered.

When I openened the package I could see it was not a WD Elements 2TB drive.

It was a MyBook 3TB USB3.0 instead.

Has something gone wrong at WD or was it meant to be a better (more expensive) drive?

Should I contact them or should I just keep this better drive?

Thanks for your reply.

Re: Wrong Hard Drive Replacement!?

Sometimes when WD does not have the original drive in stock they sent you better model, perhaps that's your case. I guess is better if you contact WD to investigate.
