Can not access the dashboard on latest OSX

I'm running the latest public version of OSX and I can't get the dashboard to display in a browser. When I try it goes to a PNF. Also, and I'm guessing it is related, the drive is greyed out in the WD Quick View app. The light is green on the WD unit and I can still see the drive and it's contents in finder.

It feels like the server has stopped and I can't figure out how to restart...

Re: Can not access the dashboard on latest OSX

You can try resetting the MBL by holding its Reset button for 4 seconds.  You may also try from a different computer to compare results.

Re: Can not access the dashboard on latest OSX

I've tried that but it doesn't fix the issue. I've also tried from another Mac and a PC on the network and the same issue appears on both.

They can see the drive, write to it, etc. but it doesn't show up in the WD software so I can't use the dashboard to manage it nor can I reach it via the browser interface.

I followed another suggestion on these boards and deleted the software. I tried to re-install and now I get an error that the server/process can't be found and the software can't be installed (or in this case, re-installed).

I'm thinking I should restroe from a point before I bought the drive and try it fresh.

Re: Can not access the dashboard on latest OSX

What message you get when you try to access the dashboard?

what browser are you using?

try //mybooklive.local or //mybooklive.UI
