MBLD & Samsing Smart TV

I am in the market for a Samsung LED Smart TV and have my mind set on a UN50ES6100. I have a 6TB Western Digital MyBookLive Duo which has a bunch of videos, mostly AVI, MPG and MKV files that I play to my current TV using a WDTV Live SMP. I am aware that the Samsung UN50ES6100 with the AllShare Play is DLNA compliant, but it also specifically states "Samsung AllShare Play lets you and your family seamlessly share your content across DNLA-connected Samsung devices, regardless of where you are, without the need for a network, cables, or a connecting device".

So, my question is, can I connect the Samsung UN50ES6100 TV to my WD 6TB MBLD through my network to access my videos without having to use the WD SMP?

Yes this is possible in both the MBLD and MBL
