Use external enclosure to access my data in the hard disk of My Book Live Duo?

Hi,

I have a concern. Setting admin and share folder to private with password lock in My Book Live Duo. In an event of My Book Live Duo hardware/controller failure (Not hard disk failure). Will I be able to remove the internal hard disk drive and put it into a external enclosure to access my data? My worry is that it need the password or the My Book Live Duo hardware/controller to access the data.

Thanks & Best Regards

For sure I know that the my book live does not support hardware encryption, but I'm not sure about the live duo.
