Can't delete or move corrupt file

One of my .mkv movie files somehow got corrupted, but when I try to delete it my explorer just stops responding. How Do get rid of the file?

One way or removing it is to either use another compuer.

Enable FTP and erase the file through the FTP service.

Failing those, enable SSH and erase the file from the MBL's Linux command line.

Which of the three options do you wish to use. If you're stuck on how to do the last two options either myself or someone else here can offer assistance.

If you work with Windows, try to use UNLOCKER. It is freeware.

Unless there is a corrupted file that is confusing a helper or plug-in causing it to crash as soon as it is encountered.
