Network Blu-ray can read private files!

Hi all,

Have the MyBook Live, and have a Bluray player that connects to the same router via LAN.

The BluRay is able to browse videos on the MyBook....but the catalog of files also contains videos that are within Private shares!!

Why does this happen? Can it be prevented?

Re: Network Blu-ray can read private files!

Well, presumably you enabled "Media Serving" access to the private shares?

Log into the Web UI.

Click SHARES

Then click the Private Share (whatever you named it)

Then check "Media Serving" should be set to NONE.

Thanks for that! Such an obvious solution I should have been able to solve that myself :manembarrassed:
