WD Live - Linux - Ubuntu

Why doesn't WD support Linux?

Why can't I seem to register the WD Live book with Ubuntu. I'm running Samba, I'm trying to register it as a network drive and also connecting to it as a Samba (Windows Share) but all attempts are failing...

Please advise?

Not sure what you mean.   There's no problem connecting to the MyBook Live via Linux...
