Hi
This is the 3rd day of the purchase Western Digital Live, still I have problems playing the some MP4 files on the Samsung Smart TV. Sleepiness nights no solution. I called the Tech Support WD but answer is not helpful, they said encoding problem.Finally I decide the write on the forum.
My main problem is, I can not play some MP4 on my Samsung Smart TV.
I convert my DVD movies with HANDBRAKE on Imac and send to LIVE but movies not working. It's show loading icon on the TV but not opening, error not supported files, but some movies the same extension MP4 I used the XILISOFT software for encoding it working perfect.
When I copy unplay movies to flash drive plug to TV it works, also I can watch all movies on the Ipad and Iphone without any problem. I have a NETGEAR N900 WNDR4500 router.When I plug my second usb harddrive to this router.I can watch all nonplaying movies on the Samsung TV with no problem because Router has a DLNA ALLSHARE support. But I want to see on the My Book Live because Western Digital have better Iphone and Ipad Apps than Netgear.
Any clue what is going on?
Thanks

This is really weird. There may exist a sort of incomatibility between Twonky and your TV. I suggest you to contact WD and ask your case to be handled by their Tier 2 Support, you may also contact Samsung Support to have a second opinion regarding the issues with Twokny and your MP4 files.

There's a couple of differences I note...
WORKS-> No CABAC.
Doesn't Work-> CABAC enabled.
WORKS -> Constant Frame Rate
Doesn't Work -> Variable Frame Rate (What Handbrake calls "Same as Source")
WORKS -> Baseline@L3.0 Profile.
Doesn't Work -> MAIN@L3.0 Profile.
Don't know if any or all of them are the source of the issue, though...
