DETERMINE DEVICE PASSWORD

I have been setting up four devices.  I have been successful in having all devices synched.  However, in setting up two devices I first attempted to add the devices using their passwords as set out in the label on the bottom of the device.  (Needless to say they are difficult to read and, especially, it is most difficult to distinguish between a Q and a O.)  Question: is there any way to make sure that I have the correct password for a device, such as directly connecting a device to the computer with bypassing a router and having the computer display the correct password for the device?

Last time I check the password was created by the Liwire on its own.. no need to enter anything after hitting the sync button

HAving same problem keep getting it saying incorrect password. HAve to double check my passwords
