Why so SLOW?

Hi everyone, I'm having trouble getting decided performance from my LiveWire.  As you can see I'm getting good performance via the WD Livewire Utility, but the utility seems to be wildly exaggerated at 137 mb/sec

Doing a file transfer from a my Windows 7 computer to a system in the other room shows only 36% of my 100 mb/sec network utilized, and about a 4.1 mb/sec transfer rate.

Obviously this is FAR from 137 mb/sec like the utility shows.  What can I do to improve performance?  When transfering on my "local" Lan I'm able to see much better performance as expected.

I'm in an old building in Brooklyn NYC.  It's a 1 bedroom apartment but there are so many wifi networks around that II get even worse performance.  I'm attempting to stream large mkv files to a media player in my bedroom from a share that is setup in my living room.   I was doing the file copy test just to get an idea of the real transfer speeds avaiable.  I have no way of running a cable.  Way too many obsticles.

Let me know.  Thanks.

Re: Why so SLOW?

The issue might be related to interference in your powerline.  To verify this try connecting both LIvewire adapter to the same wall outlet, one next the other.

Re: Why so SLOW?

The utility shows full speed and I'm sure will transfer great.  If the unit is showing 137 mb/sec thats faster then my lan.... Why is the actual performance so crappy?  I'm thinking I should have got some 500 mbps/sec powerline adapters from someone else.  Hmmm....
