Compilations with wrong artist ID3 Tag

I have over 350 Compact Discs converted into MP3 with iTunes. The Media Server on my WD Live Book works Fine, but tracks of discs with many different artists (no artist of the album in the ID3 tag, only artist of the song) are shown with "various artists" as artist on all Media clients. So you can not see the artist of the song on discs with many artists. I use the following clients: Yamaha RX-V 671 Sagem Dual Radio Some software Clients on iPad This problem did not appear on the Media Player: Buffalo Linkstation and Fritz!Box with the same MP 3 files.

There is not enough here to help you. You may want to get an MP3 ID3 Tag editor (plenty of free ones out there) and edit your data so that it shows proper content.

... meanwhile I have updated over 3.000 ID3 Tags of the compilations. Now is in every Compilation an albumarist in the ID3-Tag. But it did not solve the problem.

Example

Album title  HITS

1. SONG Artist: Madonna Albumarist: Madonna title: Like a Prayer

2. SONG Artist: AC/DC Albumartist: AC/DC title: Highway to **bleep**

3. SONG Artist Bee Gees Albumartist Bee Gees title: Staying Alilve

......

The songs of this album are shown with "Various Artists" as Artist. It is not possible to search for "Madonna".

The same files on a Buffalo Link Station Live works fine.  In iTunes it works fine too. So it must be a bug in the Firmware.
