Final cut pro x / Mybook world 2

Has anyone been able to get FCPX to see the MBW drive ?  I am trying to store my project files on the WD and access from the MBPro. ( To save space ) and work with proxy files .  I loaded the original media via the drive , but cant seem to send the files from the Movies folder on the Macs HD to the external drive. I created proxy media & optimised media. Its the optimised media I want shifted ( many gigs ...)  Any ideas ?

Did you check if the Final Cut Pro support the option to access a network location?
