Recovery utilities for damaged hd

Around year 2005 the Ontrack Easy Recovery 6.3 was the most useful utility (IDE, SCSI). Actually, Ontrack only sell service of recovery. WD only offer Data Lifeguard, as I know, but is a very very option-limited utility.

Do you know if  Ontrack Easy Recovery 6.3 can work with Sata  hd? The Sata technology was open to the market around 2006/2007.

Do you know the recovery of Acronis, is excelent?

I have used Mini Tool and Test Disk

In my opinion Ontrack should work with any hard drive but try their web for more info

And as usual.  Their trial version may only allow so many recovers before you have to pay for it.  So, be aware of that.
