2TB USB External Drive Elements failed to format and now can not be recognized at all

When I plug it in it shows drive letter (F:smileyhappy: and suggests I'll format it - but format never gets passed the first sign in the progress bar.

In disk mngmt tool the drive shows as "Removable F: - No media" - and no capacity or anything.

HD format tools does not recognize the drive at all.

DLG tool says it passes all the tests (Though the drive letter does not show at the bottom part).

The problem started after trying to format it (ising windows 7 format) from eXfat to NTFS). (Which I decided to do to avoid the drive go to "read only" mode every other day.

Is there any tool to "reset" the drive to its defaults and get it to work?

Did you try using DLG to write zeroes to the drive?
