I did check with the DLG, very good program and I also used Windows own disc check for bad sectors. Nothing shows up... weird huh? I am not going to worry too much about it though as I have now sliced up the pie and it appears to be working fine.

Not sure if the other replies are relevant to my original query, but my disc is working fine. It is just my returned Seagate showed the same "problem".
