My 500GB Passport Will not connect to my tv or Media system

Hello new to this and excuse my lack of knowlege.I have a new passport WD.It connects to my lap top ok and my home pc but when i go to play movies on my Panasonic cinema system or my tv it is not compatable.If i down load on to a 2GB stick it plays.

Can anyone help me with this please?

You'll probably get faster help in the TV section. It's probably a format issue. Drives for Windows come formatted NTFS. Many video items need to be formatted FAT32. Check the specs on your TV system.
