Drive suddenly re-partitioned to half size [ Edited ]

Hi,

I have a mystery and problem, with the following model WD1600BUT-63DPZY0

I have been using it for one year, and suddenly the size of the partitions decreased (not-disappeared) and the decreased size shows up as unallocated.

The disk was originally formatted as

total size:160GB

c: 48.8GB

d:100GB

Suddenly this became

c:48.8GB

d:25.6GB

unallocated:75GB

I did not install or change any settings of the computer, not even updating.

Has anyone had the same problem input would be valuable and appreciated

This drive does not have a recognizeable model number.  Are you sure that is the correct model number?

We have resolved the issue,

IT WAS NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE.

I had made the disk from an image using symantec ghost, we had used the wrong omage.

The drive was partitioned with unallocated space fromt the beginning.
