WD CD TOOL without any OS please!!!!

I have a Laptop with Fedora (not Windows), after installing a new kernel the computer freeze and I shutoff in the bad way.

I downloaded the WD Diagnostics CD http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=703&sid=30&lang=en

I see the screen CALDERA + WD DIAGNOSTICS but I get this error:

NO HARD DRIVE FOUND, ERROS/STATUS CODE:  0120

http://support.wdc.com/techinfo/general/errorcodes.asp (means this):

120Unknown ErrorAn unknown error has occurred during testing. This may be an anomaly. Check connections and retest. If the error repeats, replace the drive.

It's there any tool (CD) without windows required to test this tool ? (SEAGATE HAS ONE I'M JUST SAYING)

also I can install Ubuntu in this laptop without any issues but I realy want to test the hard drive using some WD Tools.

Cheers
