My hard drive has crashed and approached a vendor for data recovery..

They say that the only chance is If I get the same model number with at least the 5,6 of the DCM code mentioned below

 

  DCM - HHBVJANB

 

somebody please help!!!!!

which vendor did you approach, because they should have those pcba cards, themselves.  Did you try Ontrack or DriveSavers?

The DCM is only really necessary when matching mechanical parts. In any case, a genuine data recovery company will not ask their customers to source donor drives.

What is the problem with your drive?
