puTTY version 0.61.0.0 saved to folder, dclick open, entered IP address of MBWD (leave port 22) & made sure SSH checked, click open > terminal screen login & password
Have you reset MBWD using rescessed reset button / power cable insert?? (I did after reading you dont loose data just resets passwords admin/admin & welc0me).
ALWAYS POSIBLE YOU ARE GOING TO LOOSE DATA!!!

Guys there is no need to keep posting not to update. I have check out the WD site and I see that they acknowledge they are fully aware of the issue and have removed Firmware 1.02.10
take a look at this link

Hey @ all!
Thanks to all the Guys (not to WD) who helped me to downgrade my WD -NAS.
My WD-NAS now working in Version 1.02.06.
(The password entry in Putty was strange, .... typing without any feedback in window)
After these bad experiences I will think about whether I will buy more products.
Mistakes can happen, but it must be helped immediately. Unfortunately, nothing happened at WD.

Hi, i'm one of the thousand with the firmware problem, in this moment my MBWE2 disappear from lan. I try to downgrade to the previous firmware but the gui stopped me with the alert i described above.
Do you think we've to still wait for a good downgrade procedure?? is it that difficult?
