Drive wont power up

The drive lives on a fully charged 2 hour UPS System, is isolated from internet. Network runs stable connectivity with cisco switches and gw's.

I turned off my network brought everything down softly then powered off my ups which took power out for the drive.

Tried to turn my equipment on and the drive does not power up. There are no lights coming from the network port.

Tried known working outlets

Is this a frequent problem for this kind of drive setup. I know it was cheap, but **bleep** it only lasted 6 months.

Re: Drive wont power up

Sounds like you need to replace it, you can also try getting another power adapter just to be sure.

Re: Drive wont power up

I suggest you to contact WD and request a replacement power adapter.  If this is not the issue you may replace the drive.
