Malware on Network Drive

A couple of weeks ago I brought a friend's computer home and removed the brontok worm from it. Yesterday, I moved some files to a 160 GB WD Netcenter NAS and my anti-virus programs began going nuts. They kept finding the brontok worm on the NAS. No attempts to clean it from my computer worked. I know the device is old and most will recommend to replace it but I would like to clean it up, salvage the data on the device and keep using it. Any advice on how to proceed?

Re: Malware on Network Drive

The file system in the Netcenter is Linux, very unlikely that it might be affected by a virus.  I recommend you to try to access it from another computer to compare results.
