Acronis disc clone MBR Errors & boot from floppy

I purchased a WD 250GB harddrive to image my internal harddrive on my Dell Laptop.

My Dell laptop has a WD 250GB internal harddrive.

I downloaded the latest version of Acronis from the Western Digital website.

I was trying to image my internal laptop harddrive C to an external USB connected harddrive D.

Upon reboot I get the following errors:

MBR Error 3

MBR Error 3

MBR Error 1

Press any key to boot from floppy....

I press any key and nothing happens.

I do not have a floppy connected to the laptop.

I am using Windows 7.

I am stuck and need help to at least get back to a working system. Prior to using this software, I had no issues with my computer.

Re: Acronis disc clone MBR Errors & boot from floppy

I found this from a Microsoft Forum that might solve your issue:

"Following procedure can remove the error message successfully.
Start with Win7 cd. Repair Computer > Recovery Option > Command Prompt > run both to remove the error message.

Bootrec.exe /FixMbr
Bootrec.exe /FixBoot

The error message is because some minor corruption in boot sector, may be because of some 3rd party software used for disc related things at anytime."
