DELETE ZOMBIE COPIES FROM PRE-1.6 VERSIONS

Pre-1.6 versions made what some of your blog monitors called Shadow Copies of the backup files.  It never deleted them.  "Shadow Copies" is an inapt name.  These files are real entities, not mere shadows.  A better name is "Zombie Copies".  They stay in hidden places, coming out only at inopportune times.  They never die by themselves, and are very hard to see, much less kill.  They serve no function other than to use up resources.  A movie title could be "The Night the WD Zombie Copies Ate My Computer".

You could provide a DOS .bat file on your website that could be copied to WD disk owners who still have many large zombie copies.  My computer had several hundred GB of them, shutting down my work until I figured out what happened and how to fix it.  It's not enough to say the 1.6 Smartware update doesn't make zombie files any more.  There are many of your customers out there who have large collection of zombie estilqs* files even though they made the update, and will wonder if you are trying to sell them more disk space when they figure this out.  Developing the DOS commands to do this is time-consuming and could have dangerous consequences if one makes a blunder.  It would be the customer's option to run this .bat command, so your liability should be limited if you test the package adequately.
