My Passport Essential - selection of drive to back up

I have been using My Passport Essential (500 GB) for several months and am happy with its performance.  However, I recently got a new computer and installed two hard drives (C: for all software, utilities, etc and E: for data only).  After I re-set my system so that it would backup E: drive, I realized that each time I re-boot the computer the backup drive defaults back to C: drive.

 

Enquiries to tech support have confirmed that this occurs and that there is no way around it other than to open the WD SmartWare software each time I re-boot and re-select drive E:.

 

It would be useful if SmartWare could be set  either to allow permanent selection of the drive to back up, or could be set to back up selected multiple drives.
