WD Remote App

The WD Remote App is a nice start for the beginning.

But the functions are to much basic at the moment.

I am using the App with a WD TV Live Streaming Player.

What, if i will use the Player how the Name it says? As a streaming Player? The Player is connected to the Stereo and to the TV. But if i want to listen to my music, i will not etxra start my tv. So it will be great if the remot app will be completed with a kind of browse function where i can search and use the music from a local NAS and and listen to it without switch on my TV.

Another helpfull function will be i kind of airplay to stream my iOS Device Screen to the WD TV Streaming Client.

These functions will make me happy. Not final happy, but more happy.

At the Moment i think there will be no StreamingClient which gives everything. For every nice function i need at least 2 Streaming clients. And that is bad. 

WD:

Need your expierience and make something with it. Please.

You didn't say what kind of phone you are using, if you ment the IPhone I believe there is already a WD TV Live remote app on the apple website/ITune that does all you ask for:

about the WD TV Live remote app for Android, I totally agree with you as it is very simple and basic, it's a remote controll..thats it.

I would love to be able to use my Android as a WD TV Live Streaming Player
