Elements Play Disk interface?

I have a WD Elements Play for 6 months and the HDMI/Composite outputs stop working without any apparent reason. Since I had no reply from WD regarding this issue, I'm considering to buy a new media player (not from WD) without internal hard drive and using the 2TB hard drive from EP.

Does anyone knows what kind of interface the hard drive has (IDE, SATA)? I've seen that question in this forum but no answer yet....

Thanks.

Re: Elements Play Disk interface?

It's SATA.

Re: Elements Play Disk interface?

I also found a review which states that internal hard disk is the Western Digital Caviar Green AFT (WD20EARS).

Thanks anyway
