No Dts 2.0 output WD elements play

Just got WD elements play 1TB model no. WDBACB0010HBK how can i upgrade the firmware? No Dts 2.0 sound output using HDMI cable on my TV? is there anything i should do or re-programing the player? Pls. Help?

What's DTS 2.0?    You have a Generation 1 device.   The Gen 1 doesn't support DTS.

 But if you just bought it, you probably already have that (or 1.01.12) firmware already.

if i have the WD gen1 and i would like to try the new release firmware WD elements play gen2 how will i supposed to do the installation process? do i need to removed the gen1 currently installed how? pls. help.

You can't.    The GEN1 does not support DTS.   You cannot change the firmware to make it a "Gen2"...  The Gen2 is different hardware.
