replace hard drive

hi

 

i would like to replace the 1 tb drive in my wdep with a larger capacity drive preferably a wd 3tb drive.

Is this possible?

Has anyone tried this?

As far as I know, these devices are preprogrammed to work with drives of  a specific size (the one that they are shipped with). Meaning, it will not recognize a drive of bigger size.

Hi

 

Got a faulty  1TB hard drive (I think) with my WD elements media. Can I replace it with another one? What are my options? Cannot access the folders on drive at all.
