Don't work usb 3.0 with WD passport and asus k53sn (win 7)

when i connect wd passport (with support usb 2.0. and 3.0.) to usb 2.0, i read that it will be work faster when i connect it to usb 3.0 port.

but when i conect it to usb 3.0. - notebook don't see external device.

Do you have the USB 3.0 drivers?

Have you try the drive in a different computer?

This is somehow common on USB 3.0 ..

 

Try updating the drivers for the USB controller

 

you can go to device manager and see if the drive shows with an exclamation mark
