My Passport is FAT32 formatted on a Mac but my can't be seen in XP?

My Passport was FAT32 formatted on a Mac but won't show in XP. I followed some advice and am about to initialize it via Disk Management but am fearful that the photos I have burned on to the hard drive will be lost if I proceed. HELP ME EXPERTS PLEASE!!!

First off make sure you have another copy of your files that is safe. Initalizing the drive may cause you to loose the data. How big is the drive? FAT32 on Windows can be picky about the drive size you may need to reformat with a third party tool to get it working in Windows. I think the max drive size was like 200 gig third party tools will go bigger.
