My Passport not keeping New Profile saved

I have one saved profile on my WD My Passport device - a device I no longer use. I have tried to add a new profile for my new PC several times however, whenever I reconnect the external hard drive, the new PC profile does not appear. Only the original saved profile shows up. 

 

1) How can I add a new profile and make it stick?

2) Can I copy files directly onto the device to use it as additional storage rather than as a backup?

Nothing to do with the external drive

 

try going to Windows forum
