My WD passport is not detected on my windows XP

Hi there,

Recently my internal hard drive got crashed and so i replaced a new internal hard drive TOSHIBHA. I partioned the whole drive and formatted the pc.. But now when i try to copy the files from WD passport,i am facing problem.. WD drive is not detected in my pc.. Previously i had HITACHI Internal hard drive and my WD was working fine.. After partioning and formatting my pc, i am facing this problem...

I checked the following things

1. USB cable is plugged correctly.

2. My WD passport is working fine in another PC.

3. Any pen drive is working fine in my pc at the same slot.. so USB slot is working fine

4. Only one light is glowin when i connect my WD in my pc..

Please help me as soon as possible...

Make sure you have downloaded the drivers for the USB controller

try another cable or another computer

check on disk management to see if the drive is showing
