Trouble with my WD

hi guys, I have a problem about my external drive, its a WD My Passport with an USB 3.0 attachment.

My problem is that it seems to load very slow, and I cannot mount it on my Windows 7 laptop and only opens in Linux Mint 12.. But this past few weeks, it works just fine., I don't know what's wrong.

On my Windows 7 laptop, its just a "Local Disk F" and can't be opened and tells me to format it before I can use it..

Might be some corrupted files, you can try to backup the files and then reformat it.

Sorry mate you need to reformat in order to make the drive operational again..... :-(
