Very Slow accessing in folders... (WD Passport)

Hi,

As per my last message, I found that my Passport drive is now dead and I need to contact WD to get it replaced.

Before it stopped working completely, its speed becomes very slow only in my computer, but it use to work normally in other computers (for few days this happened).

At that time it usually took too long time to access folders.

Kindly tell me the reason of this behavior of my Passport. (in detail description)
whether it is due to high power serge or something else... Or it is something wrong with my computer that made my HDD access very slow.

if the drive failed replace now if you still have time to do so
