Is it possible to backup the files I choose or the only choice the selections imposed by the software?

Hey dude, the software copies the files in categories (Entire sections), hence, the software itself doesn't allow you to do it.

 

However, you can copy & paste the files directly into the drive or use another software that allows you a clean selection of files, Smartware is not the only software you can use with your drive.
