Re: please help PC to mac

IN THIS CASE WHAT YOU CAN DO IS USE PARAGON SOFTWARE OR NTFS 3G THAT WILL ALLOW YOUR MAC TO READ THE NTFS FILE SYSTEM FROM YOUR BACKUP HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL

Re: please help PC to mac

If your Drive is preformatted with NTFS and when its connected to the MAC, then the drive will be read only. If you have backup the data using the copy & paste, then you should be able to drag that information back on the MAC. But if you have used any software to backup the data, then its impossible to retrieve the data on the MAC.

Re: please help PC to mac

Ok, I'm having the same issue.  I bought the Passport essential (WD2500ME) specifically because it said (on the box) that it can be used for both PCs and Macs.  I, too, have gone to the dark side and upgraded to a Mac.  I initially used the passport on my PC, and would now like to use it on the Mac.  PC worked fine, but on the Mac, well, not so much.  The passport icon pops up, but when i try to open something, it says that its not supported in this system.  I talked to someone and he suggested that I download a driver.

Suggestions?

Re: please help PC to mac

Im having the same issues. One of my co-workers was able to "drag and drop" his files to from his passport into his MAC. Im attempting to transfer my files from my passport that I uploaded from a PC. I can see the data but cannot access it. I tried to re-install the drivers but they are for Windows. Can anyone help? This has all my music, pictures, etc on it.

Thanks!
