unable to copy files FROM wd passport drive

strange problem - 1TB passport, Fat32 format - has been working absolutely fine until recently.

when copying file from the external passport drive to another (or even local desktop), receive cannot copy file - cannot find specified file error -  the drive becomes unseen by windows.

i.e. not available in my computer, or computer management or anything.

no problems with chkdsk

thing is - file appears ok (plays fine when playing off the wd drive) just simply cannot copy it elsewhere!

any thoughts most welcome

As per your description it seems like data corruption, try to backup your data and reformat your drive.....

yep, looks like drive not going to last too much longer, since datalifeguard now giving errors.
