How I can update Smartware software to the latest version?

Hello,

I have WD My Passport 1TB USB3 with Smartware backup software.

The version of the SW is 1.4.1.1. I got the update file (msi file) from wd web.

I have installed the update from my pc and I did restart after the installion complete.

I start Smartware and I saw that the version is the same as before (1.4.1.1).

I have tried to uninstall and install again the software but it didnt work.

what should I do?

So when you uninstall and reinstall you still get the old version?

 

That's not possible if you have downloaded the latest version.

 

Go to the downloaded file and check what version does it shows.

 

Uninstall the software and download version 1.5.x from HERE
