How to configure data retention

Hi,

I am using WD Smart Ware since about a year and my backup drive is filling up. I initially had the number of kept versions set to 5 and changed that to 3 now to get some space on the drive. There are however files in the backup that I already deleted months ago and definitely don't need anymore. Is there any feature that let's me configure the retention of files on the backup drive so that old files that I already deleted on my source drive will also get deleted on the bacup drive after that period? If not can I just delete the files in question from the backup drive or will this cause problems with the backup?

thanks and regards,

Stefan

Re: How to configure data retention

Smartware doesn't have the option to delete old files from the backup, but yes you can go inside the backup folders and delete anything that you don't need.
