Smartware 1.4.5.2 will not update

Version 1.4.5.2 of Smartware came with the drive I purchased yesterday.  I get prompt to download an update to 1.5.4.11, which I download.  When I right-click and choose "install" on the msi file, it "gathers required information" for about a second, then nothing else ever happens.

 

Any ideas on how to make it work?  Is there a full download somewhere I could get?  Have not found one.

The update can also be installed as a full version.  Try uninstalling ver. 1.4.5.2, restart your computer, then install lalest version.

Unfortunately, this had no effect.  It still gathered information for about a second, then did nothing.  I also redownloaded another copy with the same result.
