Control multiple Live or Live Plus media players via IP

Is there a way to control multiple Live or Live Plus media players via TCP/IP (wired Ethernet)? I'd let to setup four or five units on a network and control them remotely. Is this possible with either the stock or custom firmware?

If you can do what you need to do via DLNA, then yes.

Not sure how'd that would work. I want to have a set of WDTV's hooked up to different TVs or display devices and control all of them via one PC.

Ok, maybe I don't understand what you mean by "Control them from a PC."

Why?

Most of us control them with the remote control.

Exactly what are you wanting to do with the PC?

I'd like to have four or five of them outputting to different TVs or projectors in different rooms but I'd like to control them from a singular point. This would necessitate some sort of non-IR control. Since this app exists I was wondering if there was some sort of PC based version:

You can use WIndows 7 PlayTo function to play media files...   Is that what you're talking about?

In THEORY it could be done with some DLNA Media Control Point software that is able to command multiple devices to start  playing a file.

In REALITY-

- I don't know of any DLNA  Media Control Point software that can do this

- The source media server and network would have to have the bandwidth to serve these multiple streams

- The media streams won't be synchronized

Now if you just want to command different devices to play files then Google 'DLNA Control Point' or 'UPNP Control Point'.
